On Thursday, 343 Industries in collaboration with Microsoft presented a fresh top down shooter which is a spinoff version of the company’s Halo series of advanced military 1st person shooter games. Created by the Vanguard Games (the producers of Halo Spartan Assault) and 343 Industries, this game which is called as Halo: Spartan Strike is currently being offered to the users of Windows, iOS & Steam.
In addition, this is the 1st time that a game from Halo has been offered on an iOS platform ever since the first Halo: Combat Evolved saw a launch for Mac operating system X in the year 2003. The notable fact is that Microsoft is yet to release a Halo game version for Android users till date. In addition to this launch, Microsoft has presented an Apple version of Halo: Spartan Assault as well.
The latest Halo game is a premium shooter game similar to its predecessor. The game features thirty missions that are spread in jungles as well as cities. Players will be able to access a variety of weapons, vehicles and abilities during their battle against the enemies.
Similar to the Halo: Spartan Assault that was the initial Universal Windows application, you will be able to purchase this game for Windows Phone or Windows. You can synchronize the game progress across these devices, when the game is able to access the Steam Cloud.
According to Microsoft, in addition to the touch based controls, the users of desktop will be able to use keyboard as well as mouse controls, along with the Xbox USB controller present on Win.
The game is currently being priced at $5.99 (this includes Windows, Steam, and iOS) whereas the users of Steam & iOS will be able to purchase the bundle which contains Halo: Spartan Assault at the price of $9.99.
